Women’s College Swim and Dive: U-Mary on the verge of program best for dual wins

Local Sports

In women’s college swimming and diving, U-Mary finally has the numbers in the program where they feel they can compete at full strength in the conference.

This year, they have 26 swimmers and 1 diver.

Head Coach Allan McCallum said that when the women can back this year they were already in mid-season from the last season. The results back up what Coach McCallum said. The team has equaled their season-best dual win total with three and the Marauders still have one duals left.

“The start of the season has been the starts that we’ve had in our young program,” McCallum said. The freshman really integrated well. Seeing the sophomore and juniors really take leadership and ownership over the program has really helped us get off to a great start this year.”

The next time U-Mary will be in the pool is Nov. 30 when they travel to West Fargo for the Dragon-Cobber Invite.
