Mandan Holiday Tournament: Reep’s big fourth quarter propels Shiloh Christian to championship game

Matthew Reep scored 18 points in the fourth quarter to help Shiloh Christian fend off Flasher and advance to the Mandan Holiday Tournament championship.

The Skyhawks had built a 35-17 lead over the Bulldogs at halftime, but the Bulldogs came out with a vengeance in the third, outscoring the ninth-ranked Skyhawks 23-5  to tie the game at 40.

The fourth quarter was all Reep, as he was a perfect 4-4 from three-point shooting was responsible for 18 of the team’s 24 points in the quarter. The senior guard led all scorers with 25 points.

“Yeah man, that fourth quarter just felt really good,” Reep said after the game. “I was getting great passes from my teammates, getting open shots, and they were just going in.”

Shiloh Christian will meet New Salem-Almont in Friday night’s championship game at 7 p.m. The Holsteins won their semifinal game 44-29 over Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky.
