The North Dakota State University men’s basketball team qualified for the NCAA Tournament behind a 73-63 win over Omaha-Neb. in the Summit League Tournament Championship on Mar. 12.
NDSU led 41-27 at the break thanks to shooting 7-14 from behind the arc in the first half.
In the second half, the Bison let the 14-point cushion slip away. However, with the game tied at 51, NDSU closed out the contest on a 22-12 run. The final score was 73-63.
Vinnie Shahid led all scorers with 22 points. Tyson Ward was the second-leading Bison scorer with 15 points.
This the first time NDSU has qualified for the NCAA tournament since 2015.
