It’s not just high school sports that are under way. Minot State athletics held their fall sport media day today where KX was able to catch up with some of the football team leaders. People say winning isn’t everything, but that’s first and foremost on the minds of Beaver Football — Going 1-9 the past two seasons. More importantly, they feel like the group of guys taking the field this year is capable of producing more W’s.
(Trevin Swensen, Senior LB) “I think we are capable of winning some football games. I know it’s easier said than done, but we got guys that want to win games, and you can tell that during football camp just the first few days of practice that we’ve had that that’s the only thing on everyone’s mind is winning football games.”
(Logan Gunderson, Junior OL) “I don’t think I’ve been on a team since I got here that has had the focus that this team has had — whether it’s going to meetings or walk-thru, practice — everyone is locked in and ready to go and ready to get better every day.”
The Beavers kick off their season September first at home against Mankato.
