Another U-Mary wrestling recruit has put pen to paper.
New Salem star Tayt Wolding signed his letter of intent to join the Marauders on Thursday afternoon at New Salem High School.
Wolding is a two-time state champion for the Holsteins, and he comes in this year as the top-ranked wrestler at the 126-pound class.
He says it was easy to see himself being a part of the U-Mary program.
“It was really close to home, and I just felt like the school overall fit me,” Wolding said. “They have a really good wrestling program. They’ve got great guys in the room, and I think I’ll fit in great there.”
Wolding is one of several in-state recruits for the Marauders, joining the likes of Bismarck High’s Laken Boese, Mandan’s Isaac Berger and Legacy’s Matt Kaylor.
