Offense dominates in Mandan-Dickinson doubleheader

National Sports

There was no shortage of runs Monday evening in Mandan.

The Mandan A’s hosted the Dickinson Volunteers for a doubleheader at Veteran’s Memorial Ballpark, and in the first game, the Volunteers exploded offensively.

Mandan fell behind 12-1 in the third inning, but Jaxon Duttenhefer added an RBI single to center to cut the deficit to 12-2.

Dickinson would add a two-run single in the fourth and a sacrifice fly in the sixth, and while Mandan tallied more runs throughout the night, Dickinson would still win by a score of 15-10.

Mandan earned revenge in the second game of the doubleheader, winning 12-5.
