Saints Hot Start to New Year

National Sports

Being written off – That’s the motivation the St. Mary’s girls basketball team has used to see success no one thought they could.

The Saints have started off 2017 with two straights wins – The first against the fifth ranked Bismarck High and most recently against Mandan. Head Coach Shannon Copas says that their improvement on defense been key to their success in addition to upping their field goal percentage – struggling to score early in the season – But they expect big things in 2017.

Their only WDA loss had been against Legacy  and The Saints play #1 Century this Thursday.
