Team North Dakota enjoying preparation for Badlands Bowl

National Sports

The top high school football players from North Dakota are preparing for the 25th Badlands Bowl.

Montana has won 18 of the previous 24 match-ups, and last year’s team beat team N.D. by a score of 65-0.

This year’s crop of players said they are a confident bunch, and they’re making sure to soak up every minute of the entire week.

“It’s an honor to play in this game,” Mandan’s Trae Steckler said. “Not many people get invited to this game, and it’s something just to take pride in and represent being a Brave here.”

Century’s Kade Lynch added, “It’s bittersweet. It’s tough to know that it’s over, our run with Century High School. But it’s awesome to be on a bigger stage representing for our school.”

The game kicks off at the Biesiot Activities Center at 7 p.m. CT.
