One of the perennial powerhouses in Class B boys track is set for another state title.
The Dickinson Trinity boys team captured its fourth state title last year, and most of Trinity’s top guys return, including high jumper Aric Knopik and state champion sprinter Kaden Kuntz.
Both seniors say that from what they have seen so far, back-to-back titles is a reachable goal.
“We have a lot of jumpers this year, so I think we can have a big strength in the jumping corps this year,” Kuntz said.
“We’re definitely pretty confident, but anything can still happen,” Knopik added. “One injury can really put us behind. We’re confident, but we’re also hopeful that we’re good and healthy all through the season.”
Their first meet was scheduled for April 2 but has been cancelled, according to Trinity’s athletics calendar.
