Two Bismarck Bucks players prepare for life after football with small businesses

National Sports

The Bismarck Bucks have a lot of talented players, and some of the guys are already looking at life after football. At least two of the Bucks already have their own businesses.

A football career does not last forever.

“I had an invite with the Dallas Cowboys,” Justin Backcus said. “Obviously, I did not get picked up.”

So Justin Backcus decided to start his own business called: Advanced Marketing.

“We do all social media management,” Backcus said. “We create websites, logos, really the whole nine yards.”

The company is based out of Dallas, Texas. Advanced Marketing and their six-member team just celebrated their year anniversary on June 1.

“If I need to jump, I can do everything,” Backcus said. “I have a specialist for web design, a specialist for social media and so on.”

Justin says the current business plan is to stay in Dallas and visit clients on-site as needed.

Justin’s teammate Tarrell Downing might expand his business to Dallas if all goes well.

Right now, Justin and Tarrell are focused on winning their final game of the regular season against the Sioux City Bandits on June 9.
