U-Mary hockey not planning for move up to ACHA Division 1

U-Mary hockey goes into the winter holidays with a record of 28-3-2 and a No. 1 ranking in the ACHA Division 2.

With all the success the team has experienced in its inaugural season, KX Sports asked coach Daniel Huntley if they would consider moving up to the Division 1 level, and he said no.

“What we want to do is commit to doing things well,” Huntley said. “Doing things how we have started. Make sure this is not a fluke year. That we don’t come out and go 5-15 next year.”

U-Mary is off until Jan. 4 when they travel to the University of Northern Colorado.
