Once the 2018-2019 academic year rolls around, Watford City will be playing in Class A with the big boys.
On Jan. 24, the WDA activities directors unanimously approved Watford City’s application to join the
conference as a full member.
The reason for Watford City’s move to Class A is they’ll have more than the 325 students for three straight years.
The move brings the total number of teams in the West to 11. This could alter the way the WDA determines seedings for some sports’ conference tournaments.
Watford City will compete in Class A for every sport except football, where they will be in Class AA.
