Women’s Basketball: Mystics finding identity after wrapping up non-conference schedule

National Sports

The Bismarck State women’s basketball team missed the negative degree temperatures last week, as they were in Arizona.

BSC lost the two games they played, but what’s most important is those two games marked the end of their non-conference schedule. As they prepare for Mon-Dak Conference play, the sophomores can see a difference in their style of play under first-year head coach Marv Pedersen.

The style of play last year was more a run and gun,” guard Jaycee Walter said. “This year we are more focused on defense. So it’s different.”

On Sunday, BSC travels to Lake Region State College for a 1 p.m. game.
