Women’s College Basketball: UMary still confident after Minot State loss

National Sports

The UMary women’s basketball team lost to Minot State the day after Thanksgiving.

This ten-point loss was startling for a team picked to finish third in the North Division of the Northern Sun.

Minot State was picked to finish last. Even more, this was the Marauder’s conference opener.

The girls did rebound against Yellowstone, and the ladies say team strength will get them through.

“Our team is extremely close this year,” Gabbie Bohl said. “My teammates are like my family. We are really good about making sure no one is left behind.”

On Dec. 1, UMary steps back into conference play at home against MSU Moorhead.
