Look for extremely cold temperatures tonight, although not quite as cold as what we saw at this time 24 hours ago. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for the entire viewing area. Clouds moving in from the west are the first hint of a number of storm systems arriving. The first will be rather weak, with some neighborhoods receiving up to a 1″ of snow accumulation through tomorrow morning. A second on Sunday will be slightly stronger and bring the chance for several inches. The third system, arriving Monday, looks to be the most potent and has the chance to bring significant accumulations to parts of the viewing area. In addition, winds will pick up as this system arrives, giving potential to blowing snow into Tuesday morning. Temperatures will modify slightly with the arrival of these systems, however we are still looking at average highs well below normal. The colder than average pattern will continue through the forecast period.
