KX Storm Team Monday Night One Minute Forecast

One Minute Forecast

Clouds will stick around overnight with a chance for light snow showers, particularly across the northeastern quarter of our area. Christmas Day looks quite with seasonal temperatures, with a small chance for a few flurries. Attention then towards the storm system forming across our southwest. The first piece of energy with this system will arrive Wednesday morning. Data has been suggesting that a large area will pick up significant snowfall, with the heaviest amount further south and east. The main system will push just to our south on Thursday. If the track of this storm moves north, our viewing area would see additional snow accumulation. As the system tracks away, cold arctic air will wrap in from the north, giving us the coldest temperatures so far this season. The end of the week into the weekend looks dry and cold, but modifying temperatures and more snow chances will close out 2018. -Meteorologist Dave Holder
