KX Storm Team Tuesday Night One Minute Forecast

One Minute Forecast

The atmosphere looks to become re-energized tonight, meaning the formation of more precipitation along an advancing warm front. As the warmer air rides up and over the wedge of cold air at the surface, expect precipitation to fall in the form of sleet and freezing rain, with possible rain closer to the Montana border, including Williston. The areas of biggest risk for accumulating ice will be through the US-83 corridor and just east. Precipitation will wind down by tomorrow afternoon, with dry conditions expected through the rest of the week. Temperatures will be slightly above average. The weather pattern looks to become fairly active once more this weekend, with colder air also moving in. At this point, heaviest snow accumulations look to remain just south of our state, although some accumulation is expected. -Meteorologist Dave Holder
