60s Expected for Sunday: Weather Update 4/21

Weather Blog

What a beautiful day it is! Temperatures are in the 60s all across the state, but the winds are on the gusty side — luckily the sunny skies are helping the conditions warm up. Skies will remain mostly clear tonight and temperatures will stay above average — around 40 degrees for tonight. The winds will also be decreasing. The south wind is helping temperatures stay on the warm side since it is drawing in the warmer air. Highs on Sunday will once again be in the 60s! And the good news is that it won’t be as windy — so it should be a tad bit nicer out tomorrow. There will be a change coming to the weather on Monday when a trough is approaching the area. This will bring in increasing chances of rain in the afternoon hours. At this point in time, there is a higher chance for the southern half of the state — temperatures should remain in the 50s. Associated with the trough is a tight pressure gradient and this means breezy conditions are possible once again — extending through Tuesday morning. Much of the week will be on the dry side and temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s or very close to average.  An average high temperature is on either side of 60 degrees and lows around freezing.

Tonight, a mostly clear sky with lows around 40 degrees. Winds decreasing overnight, south, at 5-15 mph and still gusty at times.

Sunday, highs mainly in the 60s with a south wind at 5-15 mph and mainly sunny skies.

Sunday night, partly cloudy. Lows in the 30s. Winds southwest/northwest at 5-10 mph.

Monday, breezy, north at 10-20 mph and gusting around 25 mph. Highs in the 50s. Chance of rain in the afternoon.

Monday night, lows in the 30s and winds northwest/north at 10-20 mph and gusting near 30 mph. 50% chance of rain for most, otherwise a cloudy sky.
