Amber’s Friday Morning Storm Team Forecast 12/14

Weather Blog

If you think the forecast sounds like a broken record, you’re not alone! Another warm overnight will lead to another warm afternoon. Here were the temperatures at 6:30 am cst. These look more like daytime highs!

Full sun will help temperatures rise to the 40s this afternoon. A few areas in the Southwest could reach around 50 degrees. Wind will stay light out of the west and southwest around 5-15 mph.

Mostly sunny on Saturday with temperatures in the 40s and 50s. A mostly clear sky is in store for Sunday with slightly cooler temperatures in the 30s and 40s.

If you’re an astronomy lover, this is a great weekend to check out the comet 46p/Wirtanen. Named after the scientist who discovered it in 1948, it will be the brightest comet to approach the Earth in over 20 years. Look to the North near Orion. You may even be able to see it with the naked eye!
