A low pressure system has begun to move in from the southwest and will continue to spread throughout much of the Southern half of that state. There is a Marginal and Slight risk for severe storms for late afternoon and early evening. Hail around an inch and wind gusts around 60 mph are possible. Highs today return to the 70s in the Southwest where the cloud cover increases first and the 80s everywhere else. Wind stays mostly from the south through the afternoon with the exception of the Southern half of the state as that low moves through.
Tonight, diminishing chances for rain and storms with lows in the 50s. Friday, mostly sunny skies with patchy smoke a possibility. Highs will heat to the mid to upper 80s. Slight chances for rain and storms almost daily beginning on Saturday and lasting through much of next week. Highs cool down for the weekend back to the 70s and 80s.
