There’s another large difference in temperatures between the east and the west again. Lows are down around subzero and single digits in the East with warmer teens and 20s in the West. Light snow is also pushing in from the west as well. Snow moves through central North Dakota and changes over to a wintry mix by this evening.

Highs return to the 30s in the West and the 20s in central North Dakota. But it’s the warmer temperatures in the upper atmosphere that will change everything at the surface. A change over to freezing rain and sleet will happen by early evening and continue through tomorrow morning. A light ice accumulation of around a tenth of an inch is possible.

Highs return to the 30s and 40s on Wednesday with a slight chance for rain in the South. We stay in the 30s for both Thursday and Friday. Slight chances for snow through the weekend with highs cooling to the 20s and 30s.
