Morning temps are in the 20s with a light westerly wind. Highs return to the 20s to around 30 this afternoon. Wind stays out of the west around 10-15 mph with gusts to 20-25 mph.
A quick moving Alberta Clipper will sweep through on Wednesday bringing breezy northwesterly wind of 15-20 mph, gusting to 25-30 mph. Very scattered and isolated snow will bring around a tenth of an inch to a half an inch of accumulation. Most have a better chance of being miss by the snow with highs returning to the 20s.
A large cool down is in store for Wednesday night behind the snow with lows in the single digits. Thursday will be the coldest day this week as highs only climb into the teens. A rebound by Friday into the 20s with a dry and sunny weather pattern setting up for the weekend and the beginning of next week. Highs return to the 30s this weekend.
The Climate Prediction Center has released their outlook for high confidence in a warmer than normal December and high confidence in drier than normal conditions.
