Friday’s PM Foreast Update 9/1

Weather Blog
From the KX Storm Center:
After scattered showers & thunderstorms last night & today, rain is moving out of Eastern ND and into Northern MN. In the wake of this system, we will continue to see changes across the state. Through the rest of the evening, expect clearing. Tonight will bring more in & out clouds with a few AM sprinkles possible. Rain chances tonight are low and only a few (if any) areas will get a little wet. To be clear, we are not looking at widespread rain or high totals, rather a few hit & miss showers Sunday Night & Monday. Winds will also be picking up and become moderate to strong with this front. When it comes to totals, those affected can expect < 0.25″ for the most part. The bad news is that this will be our only chance of rain during the next 7days, as a cold front moves across the state.
Before this Labor Day cold front, it is going to get hot again. We will be hanging on to summer temps through the weekend. Saturday, highs in the 80s & into the 90s by Sunday. The beginning of the work week will bring temperatures that are in a more seasonable range for September. In fact, below average for this time of the year. Monday through Wednesday, highs will be in the 70s and it will be windy. By the end of next week, daytime high temperatures will climb back into the upper 70s & lower 80s and it will be sunny.

There is no risk of severe weather through the 7day Outlook
