KX Storm Team Friday Evening Forecast

Weather Blog

Expect dry weather across North Dakota tomorrow, with temperatures remaining well below average. A very pronounced upper level trough will form out west, bringing more active weather to the northern Plains by Sunday. Precipitation will pick up Sunday afternoon from south to north. With cold air already in place, precipitation will be in the form of rain and snow. At this point, it looks like heaviest accumulations of snow will be points further south and west in the viewing area, although this is subject to change. Rain and snow will continue through Monday, before yet another system arrives Tuesday into Wednesday. This system too will have the potential to bring heavy rain and snow to much of North Dakota. -Meteorologist Dave Holder
