KX Storm Team Monday Evening Forecast

Weather Blog

Cold high pressure sits to our north, while at the same time an active jet stream pattern will give us a few chances for snow over the next few days. Light snow is possible tonight, however accumulations should remain light. Temperatures will remain very cold, and a Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for the entire viewing area through tomorrow morning. Another, more significant area of snow arrives tomorrow afternoon. Totals could reach 3-5″ towards the Williston area by tomorrow night. Yet another system and accumulating snow pushes in by the Wednesday night timeframe. The favored area for heaviest accumulation is our southeastern counties. Behind this system, the brunt of the cold arctic air mass arrives from the north. Thursday’s and Friday’s temperatures look to be the coldest of the forecast period. Temperatures do look to rebound slightly this weekend, although remain well below average. -Meteorologist Dave Holder
