KX Storm Team Thursday Evening Forecast

Weather Blog

Temperatures will fall slightly tonight, but tomorrow warm up considerably into the 20s and 30s. At the same time, a surface low and associated surface trough will begin to deepen. This system will arrive early Saturday morning, with snow beginning in our southwest. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued. The heaviest snow with this system looks to fall across our southern viewing area, with corresponding highest accumulations there. Winds will pick up Saturday afternoon, and blowing snow may become a problem. Blowing snow may be limited somewhat by the heavier nature of the snow. Sunday will feature breezy conditions with temperatures falling to about 10 degrees below average. Highs will rebound quickly into next week, with another potentially impactful system arriving Wednesday. -Meteorologist Dave Holder
