KX Storm Team Tuesday Evening Forecast

Weather Blog

A very active pattern continues as a trough across the west brings in a number of systems. The first will bring the best chance of accumulating snow to the northwest part of the state. This area of snow will taper off tomorrow morning, but at the same time, more snow will develop to our south. Heaviest snowfall totals with this system look to remain in the extreme far southeast region of our viewing area, where a Winter Storm Watch has been issued. This area of snow will gradually wind down by Thursday morning. Behind this system, cold arctic air will arrive from the north, and bring dangerous to possible life-threatening wind chills to North Dakota, particularly Thursday and Friday morning. Temperatures will gradually modify through the weekend and into next week, although they will remain well below average. In addition, snow chances increase during the Sunday-Monday timeframe. -Meteorologist Dave Holder
