Monday Morning Weather 10/16

Weather Blog

Fall is going to be hanging on a little longer as high temperatures will be in the mid 70s later this week. Winds will also be on the breezy side, but luckily skies will be sunny. These conditions are all due to the jet stream. The jet stream is moving a little further north this week, allowing for those warmer temperatures to be moving in. An exception to this will be a cold front pushing through on Wednesday, causing highs to be near 60 degrees, but that doesn’t last long, as there is the potential that the end of the work week will see a few 80s possible. The ridge, associated with the jet stream, will begin to break down by the weekend. This will enable cooler air that is closer to average and cloudy skies to follow. Overall, this week will be on the warm side, sunny skies, and winds breezy at times. An average high temperature for this time of year is in the mid 50s and lows near freezing.

Monday, highs in the mid to upper 60s, a few 70s are possible, and winds west at 5-15 mph and gusting to 25 at times locally. Skies are to be sunny!

Monday night, a clear sky and winds light and lows around 40 degrees.

Tuesday, skies will be sunny and winds southwest at 10-20 mph and gusting near 25 mph at times. Highs are going to be above average, in the mid 70s.

Tuesday night, a few clouds, otherwise, clear. Winds are to be southwest/northwest at 5-15 mph and lows in the mid 40s.

Wednesday, a few clouds to partly cloudy skies and highs, near average, around 60 degrees. Winds will be breezy from the northwest then shifting west at 10-20 mph and gustier at times.
