Showers and Thunderstorms expected for Memorial Day

The morning hours will have a growing chance of showers and thunderstorms developing in the southwest region. Then as the morning continues the moisture will become widespread and move further to the northern region of the state. At this time most of the thunderstorms will remain non-severe. There is a marginal risk of severe weather in the extreme south central region. Overall, Memorial Day will have mostly cloudy skies and a chance of on and off thunderstorms throughout the day. Highs will mainly be in the 70s and a few 80s can be expected in local areas. Once we get into Tuesday — another round of t’storms are expected and this trend will continue for the week. As the chances of thunderstorms continue to grow the KX Storm Team will continue to keep you ahead of the storm. 

An average high temperature for mid May is around 70 degrees and lows in the mid 40s.

Memorial Day, showers and thunderstorms are likely and highs in the 70s and lower 80s. Winds will be east at 5-15 mph. Chance of storms 30% to 40% and some storms may become severe. 

Monday night, storms possible. Winds east at 5-10 mph and lows, warm, around 60 degrees. Chance of storms 40%.

Tuesday, showers and thunderstorms are possible. Highs in the 70s and 80s with a south wind at 5-15 mph. Chance of storms 40%.

Tuesday night, a 30% chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Winds south/southwest at 5-10 mph and lows in the 50s. 

Wednesday, mostly cloudy skies in the northern region and a chance of thunderstorms for the south. Winds northwest at 5-15 mph and highs around 80 degrees.
