Sunny Skies and Warmer Temperatures: Weather Update 6/2

Weather Blog

After a few active days of severe weather we are finally getting a break! It may be windy now, but the winds will be diminishing later tonight to just 5-15 mph. Lows will also near average — in the lower to mid 40s. You can expect to see a warm up in temperatures starting Sunday and continuing into this upcoming week. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s. Sunday will have mostly sunny skies and much lower winds — a near perfect day. Later in the week — you can expect to see a few chances of thunderstorms depending on where you are locally. At this point in time nothing is expected to be widespread — this will likely come on Tuesday night for a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Another round of storms could be possible by the end of the work week and into the first half of the weekend. Overall, the rest of the weekend should remain fairly quiet and that trend will continue into the first half of the week — temperatures are also expected to be comfortable.  An average high temperature for mid May is around 70 degrees and lows in the mid 40s.

Tonight, winds diminishing to 5-15 mph from the northwest/west and skies becoming clear. Lows in the 40s.

Sunday, mainly sunny skies and highs in the 70s. Winds west at 5-15 mph.

Sunday night, a few clouds with an east/southeast wind and light. Lows in the lower 50s.

Monday, a few clouds and highs in the 80s. Winds south at 5-15 mph.

Monday night, lows in the 50s and lower 60s. Winds south at 5-10 mph and a mostly clear sky.
