It looks like we’ve bottomed out with the temperatures. Many lows are around -25 and even as low as -40 in the northwest. Williston has set a new record low. The old record was -41 from 1899. The new record is -44. This could get updated if the temperature drops a little lower this morning.
Highs today remain subzero with a clear and sunny sky. Wind remains light from the northwest. The wind chills have been down to around -40 and -50 all morning. The Wind Chill Warning will stay in place until noon and will be replaced with a Wind Chill Advisory until at least noon tomorrow.
Mostly cloudy on Saturday with a chance for light snow. Another round of light snow is possible on Sunday as well with a weekend possible accumulation of 1″-3″. Highs remain below zero. Here are the temperature trends for the next 7 days.
The attention then turns to the snow chances for Monday. Several inches of snow could fall with strong wind. Prepare for a snow commute both to and from work/school on Monday.
