Thursday Morning Forecast 3/22

Weather Blog

Dense fog this morning will linger into the afternoon with visibility in many locations down to a few hundred feet. Freezing fog will create slick surfaces as well. Highs are back in the 30s and 40s with a partly sunny afternoon. Wind stays out of the east around 5-10 mph. Rain and freezing rain will begin in the far Southwest overnight with wind picking up from the Southeast.

Friday, a wintry mix will change to snow for most in the North and Central ND. The wintry mix looks likely to stick around in the Southwest. A widespread 6″-10″ with an isolated 12″ is possible. Lighter snow accumulation in the Southwest, around Dickinson, where there could be around 1″-3″. Wind from the Southeast will increase to around 25 mph, gusting to 35-40 mph. This will make for near white-out conditions at times.  As the snow ends on Friday, patchy freezing drizzle will continue to add to the slick roads.
