Thursday’s Forecast Update 7/6

It is not as hot as yesterday and temperatures are still above average for this time of the year. The next couple of days will bring relatively cooler temps with highs in the 80s & into the 90s by Saturday. During this time it will be sunny with a few clouds, light winds and and very low rain chances. By Saturday Night/Sunday, our next system will move through the state with a chance for rain & thunderstorms. Our weekend short-wave will not bring widespread or heavy rain. For the most part we will be looking at scattered rain & a few thunderstorms. By Sunday & Monday it will be breezy with temps climbing well into the 90s again. So, enjoy slightly lower temps today & Friday. Monday Night/Tuesday will bring another another chance for scattered rain and it will stay hot through most of next week. 
It will be hot & mostly dry through the 7day Outlook. Drought conditions will continue to worsen with very low rain chances. The latest drought monitor came out this morning and there was not much change except for expanding the D3 (Extreme Drough) to cover even more of Western & Central ND. Two more counties have signed Fire Declarations and Burn Bans. McHenry now has a burn ban & Sheridan has a new burn restrictions. Tonight, mostly clear to partly cloudy with hit & miss rain possible for parts of our Southern Region. It will be a little cooler with temps closer to average, before our next warm up. Lows in the 50s & a few 60s with a NE/SEwind 2-10mph.
 
Friday, mostly sunny & unseasonably warm with a few clouds. Highs in the 80s & 90s with a light wind, swinging around to the North 2-12mph.
 
Friday night, mostly clear and mild. Lows in the 50s & 60s with a NE/SE wind 2-10mph.
 
Saturday will bring plenty of sunshine with temps warming back into a hot range. Highs in the 80s & 90s with a SE/NW wind 2-12mph.
 
Saturday Night, mostly clear to partly cloudy with  few showers & thunderstorms possible. Lows in the 60s with a light wind out of the South & East.
