Thursday’s Forecast Update 9/7

Weather Blog
From the KX Storm Center:
After another cool start, sunshine continues across the state. Temperatures will continue to gradually climb into a warm range through the rest of the work week. It will be sunny with winds picking up on Friday. We are looking at 10-20mph winds, gusting to near 30 at times. It will be breezy through the weekend and into the beginning of the work week. During this time, a few more changes are in the forecast. A weak front will be fizzling out as it moves across the Dakotas Sunday/Monday. Temperatures will not be affected much and they will drop a little through the beginning of the work week. There will be a very low chance for rain. We are really looking at isolated showers possible. So, coverage will not be widespread and there will be little to no rainfall accumulation. So, even though we could use more rain, chances will stay very low through the weekend and into the beginning of the work week. Winds will also back down to light to moderate for a few days. Through the beginning of next week, expect a calm weather pattern. through the latter half of next week, more changes are expected. We will switch to an active weather pattern. Winds pick back up with more clouds rolling in and higher rain chances are back in the forecast.

All together rain chances will stay low through the rest of the work week and this weekend. Temperatures will range through the 80s with a few 90s possible during the weekend & winds will be breezy at times. The highest rain chances will be during the end of the 7day Outlook with our next system and cold front.
