From the KX Storm Center:
If you thought it got windy today, wait until tomorrow. Winds will continue to calm down this evening, only to pick back up again with gusts even higher and a High Wind Watch in effect for Southwest, ND. There will also be a chance for scattered rain & mix tomorrow, through the Midday & after Noon. Keep a jacket handy and dress a little warmer than today. Because with this combination of stronger winds, more clouds and scattered wind, it will feel a little cooler. Some good news is that Wednesday’s quick-moving clipper will not impact our forecast much. Temps stay well above average for this time of the year with more sunshine & lighter winds, in its wake. But, tomorrow will bring our biggest chances through the rest of the work week. Temps will again climb into a mild range. It will be windy with gusts as high as 60mph possible for some. Clouds will roll in tonight, mainly after Midnight with scattered rain/mix/snow possible through the midday & afternoon hours. We are not looking at much in the way of accumulation and showers will be hit & miss. Keep an eye on the NDDOT Road Conditions Map. It is available on our website at myndnow.com.
By Wednesday night, winds will become light with plenty of sunshine Thursday and little to no chance of rain through the end of the work week & our weekend. Our next system will hold off until Sunday/Monday. In the wake of this next system, temps will fall back into the 30s for highs and 20s/teens for lows. This means that it will continue to feel like late October’s average conditions rather than late November. A few days after December starts, temps will fall back into a seasonable range.
At this point we are not looking at any extreme winter weather through the next 7 days. Winds will be strong tomorrow. There is a High Wind Watch for Slope, Hettinger, Adams & Bowman counties, until 6pm MST tomorrow. Wind gusts near 60mph will be possible.

Tonight, partly cloudy with increasing clouds and chilly. Lows in the 20s with a few 30s and a South wind 2-12mph G20. Chills will be in the teens with a few light showers possible.

Wednesday, partly to mostly cloudy and windy with areas of scattered rain/snow mix. Highs in the 40s & a few 50s with a SE/NW wind 15-25mph G35. 30% chance of precip.

Wednesday night, mostly clear with calming winds and it will be chilly. Lows in the 20s with a NW/West wind 15-25mph G35mph and chills in the teens & 20s.

Thursday will bring plenty of sunshine and continued mild temps. Highs in the 40s with a few 50s and a West wind 5-15mph G20. Chills in the 20s & 30s.

Thursday night will be partly to mostly cloudy little to no precip. Lows in the 20s with a SW wind 2-12mph and chills in the teens.
