Weather Blog
From the KX Storm Center:
Last night & this morning, many of us got much needed rainfall with last night’s system. Widespread showers & thunderstorms cleared out early, today. And, its not over yet. Rain chances return this afternoon & evening. Rain & thunderstorms will stay in the forecast through tonight with continued rain chances lingering into Wednesday (North). Despite getting 1″-2″ of new ran for parts of Western & Central ND, we are still behind and could use more rain. So, the more the better. All of the state will have a chance for rain with some risk of severe weather. However, the highest risk will be in Central & Eastern ND and includes a slight/enhanced risk. Western ND has a slight/marginal risk of severe weather.

A marginal risk for severe weather means isolated severe storms are possible. They will be limited in duration/coverage/intensity. Winds 40-60mph, Hail up to 1″ & low tornado risk.

Slight: Scattered severe storms possible. They will be short-lived & not not widespread. Isolated intense storms possible. One or two tornadoes possible. Reports of strong/damaging wind & hail ~1″, isolated 2″.

Enhanced: Numerous severe storms possible. More persistent & becoming widespread with a few intense storms. A few tornadoes, several reports of wind damage & damaging hail 1″-2″.
