Tomorrow looks to be a nice day ahead of a large storm system that arrives late Thursday night in the southwest and spreads north and east Friday.  There are some things I am pretty confident in.  One, it’ll be fairly windy on Friday so if it is raining or snowing, it will be blowing around quite a bit and will be sloppy outside.  Another thing I’m confident in is the temperature profile across our state will make rain vs. snow totals a challenge.  As of right now the data suggests the north central and off to the east could get 6″ or more of heavy wet snow.  Points farther south will likely have more rain and maybe even some freezing rain. If that does happen, the total snow amounts will be less than the north. I’ll be tweaking my forecast all afternoon long and don’t forget, Meteorologist Amber Wheeler will have fresh data again tomorrow morning on Good Day Dakota–Tom Schrader KX Storm Team
