A cool morning will lead to a cooler afternoon. Morning lows have dipped to the 50s and 60s under an overcast sky. Highs will only warm to the 60s and 70s today with the coolest highs in the east. A decrease in clouds from west to east today with wind staying out of the north around 5-15 mph. Tonight, lows will dip to the 50s under a mostly clear sky.
Thursday, highs return to the 70s and 80s with sunny and dry conditions. Triple-digit heat is in the forecast for Friday as high pressure builds over the Northern Plains promoting heat and dry conditions. The upper 90s and triple digits stay in the forecast through the early part of next week.
