Dangerous temperatures and wind chills this morning as actual air temperatures have fallen to around -20 and -30. Wind chills have been as low as -48 in Crosby. Here were the wind chills as of 5:30 am.
Here were some of the lowest wind chills since after midnight.
Highs today return to single digits above zero. Areas around Minot, the Turtle Mountains, Rugby, and Harvey will more than likely stay just below zero.
An active snow forecast will bring light snow throughout the weekend. The southwest will see continuous snow and will have the highest snow totals through the weekend. Many of us will see a light accumulation.
Luckily we’ll start to see slightly warmer temperatures into the next work week. Even though we stay below average, warmer air will begin to influence our forecast into the next work week.
